Scarecrow Festival

Turn of the Century Picton Walking Tour

The Quinte Region Branch of the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario would love for you to take part in their last walking tour of the 2015 season.  

A walking tour of turn of the century homes and buildings located in Picton's East Main Street neighbourhood will take place with Guest Tour Guide, Ernie Margetson.  

Mr. Margetson is a leading authority on the subject of Prince Edward County architecture, and especially of County barns.  

We will be starting the tour at the Prince Edward County Legion Hall at 347 East Main Street in Picton at 2 pm

Wassail by Candlelight at Macaulay House

Take a break from the bustle and travel back in time to an 1850's holiday season!  The kitchen hearth will offer an array of heritage foods to sample.  Period decorations, aglow in candlelight will fill the young and the young-at-heart with true Christmas spirit. Pick up unique stocking stuffers from the museum's gift shop! 

Held on Wassail weekends (November 21, 22, 28th, December 5th), this is a fantastic annual event hosted by the Prince Edward County Winegrowers Association (PECWA).  The fun starts at 1 pm and runs until 6 pm at 35 Church Street in Picton

Picton Santa Claus Parade

November 29, 2015 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Picton’s Santa Claus Parade follows a traditional route along Main Street beginning from the Industrial Park area and ending at the intersection of Lake and Talbot Streets. Santa is always eager to wave to each of the boys and girls who attend this annual parade. Pedestrian area is marked, from the top of the town hill to Elizabeth Street. No vehicle parking is allowed in this area. Main Street, Picton will be closed to traffic during the parade for approximately 1 hour. Bring your kids, loved one or parents to see Santa in Picton. The parade also features bands, marching groups, horses, schools, dance groups and more.
